RPMs for Red Hat Enterprise Linux and CentOS 6
So, I figured that since the most popular (in fact, the only ones people actually read) posts on this site are the ones about setting up a web server on Red Hat and CentOS, I’d simplify the process even more. If you use nginx, PHP-FPM or any of that jazz, this post will probably be of interest.
The title has probably given it away by now, but I’m interested in setting up a repository of RPMs for common web server stack components. I’ve already got a pretty sweet nginx one going, and I’m pretty sure I’ll beĀ able to get a PHP one ready soon. You can see my work so far in a GitHub repository. These RPMs should build in i386 and x86_64 architectures.
I’m not entirely sure about the repository yet, but if there’s enough interest I’ll probably host them through CloudFlux since we’re preparing for some new service launches soon. If that falls through (it won’t) or if I feel up for a challenge, I might see about hosting it through GitHub sites. They probably won’t like that, mind.
